Specialized Talents.
"Among those who are moving GBA into the next generation are Serban Epure,…
Epure is considered one of the leading personal computer art specialists in the country.
Epure was trained in electronics but moved on to painting in the mid 1960's. He is responsible for creating most of the company's in-house computer-generated art as well as finding new ways to use software in electronic illustration. He adds that two years ago, GBA had just bought its first two Macintoshes. "I found some software and began experimenting. It has all taken off from there. Mostly, I find that limitations with this machine are based on experience. The more pleasure you get from this work, the more you learn and the more you work with it to become more proficient. I find that the Mac
and Adobe are pleasurable and challenging."
Note; GBA ( Gipps + Balkind and Associates) was a leading design firm in Manhattan in the 80th and 90ths.
